We were heartily welcomed by The Florida Association of Building Inspectors (FABI) this last weekend in sunny (and hot) Fort Lauderdale, FL (Sept. 10 & 11, 2011).

Over 140 inspectors from all over South Florida attended to learn about mold and water intrusion, water testing, new code changes, and to take the test to become a certified Florida Wind Mitigation Inspector.
Many in attendance were checking out our new Phone3D mobile inspection app for Windows phones, and many more were excited to hear about the pending release of Phone3D for both Android phones and Android Tablets running Honeycomb 3.0 or higher.

Adding to everyone’s pleasure was the full breakfast buffet that FABI provided each day! FABI always sponsors a hospitality suite after the serious business concludes. This is a very popular function and it is always well attended. It was great to see familiar faces again, hear some inspector stories, and meet some of the new faces entering the home and property inspection business. If you get a chance to attend a FABI meeting, you should do it! Did I mention the hospitality suite?

President
P.S. Next week it's on to the Great Plaines ASHI Chapter meeting in Lenexa, KS
