Starting with the version 11 series, each major release is now distinguished by the second number of the version number. For example, all version numbers starting with 11.0 belong to the same version series, all 11.1 numbers belong to the next major version series; and so forth. The third number in a version number indicates a particular minor release of that version series. Use Help > About 3D Inspection System in your software to view your exact installed version number.
From the 11.0.13 release late summer 2008 onward, a new automatic updates feature was also added to the 3D Inspection System software, with positive feedback from our users. The automatic updater can check automatically every couple weeks for new minor updates and features for the installed version of 3D Inspection System software (unless turned off by the user) and give you the option of installing them. Or newer updates for the installed version series may be obtained on demand by using Help > Check for updates in Office Management. This new feature helps users immediately obtain any minor updates over the internet at their convenience. New major version releases will still be delivered to subscribers as before.
