Link Time

I just spent the better part of 4 hours putting in some organic links. What are organic links? Organic links are links to related sites, the best organic links are when you have a link to their site on yours, and they have a link back to your site on theirs. Got it? The more relevant the site to your business the better the search engine ranking. That's probably clear as Cowboy coffee if your not already linking up, but the tip below should get you started.

So to give you an idea of what I was up to, and you may want to copy this, hint, hint. I went to some free listing sites and listed my company along with any links to other articles or sites I own. However, the best sites to list to are ones that just might get you some business AND have a feature that lets you link both ways. Hopefully not to many of my competitors will see this, but the best site of the bunch for my 4 hours was Active|Rain.com Realtors and Inspectors share a similar marketing strategy in that we each run our businesses on referrals. This site has a lot to offer.

Yeah, I get a credit if you sign up but it's worth the effort. If you google "home inspector vail" I now have one of the top organic listings. The first few listings on the page. My company didn't even show on the first page before the listing. It's interesting, it works something like search engine rankings in that the more people and other activities you have listed, to their site, the better your placement will be in your area.

This site along with about 20 others that are free should definitely be part of your Guerrilla marketing mix. Good Luck, hope you don't get stuck in cyberspace to long.
