Thank you for your interest in the Home Structure Report (HSR) from Structurally
Sound Inc. This form set is a product a seven years of continuous development
to meet the changing and challenging needs of Home Inspectors across North
America in compliance with the ASHI, CAPHI and OAHI Standards of Practice.
HSR takes full advantage of the flexibility of the 3D Inspection software
system to enable you to create a fully comprehensive and illustrative narrative
home inspection report.
This product set includes:
- Report Writer
- Basic Office Management
- Custom Form Studio
- Pocket3D
- Specialized Home Structure Report Focus Edition forms and documents
- Free on-line report delivery (SMTP emailing capability required)
- Subscription Plan (1 year of updates on all the included software)
The Home Structure Report provides thousands of narrative defect statements
for easy selection covering the most common and also not so common defects
that home inspectors experience in the field. With these defect statements
readily available for easy point-and-click selection, your manual input time
is minimal. Also, you will now be providing your clients a very detailed
printed description of observed defects, thus eliminating the misunderstanding
and misinterpretation often resulting from checklist reports and the legibility
problems that are inherent with hand-written reporting systems. Once you
are proficient with the layout of the forms, it should take no more the 20-25
minutes to complete a typical report.
As with many electronic inspection reporting systems today, 3D gives you
the capability to take images taken from your camera and import them directly
into your report. HSR takes this import capability to a whole new level that
is unique in the industry. HSR not only provides comprehensive narrative
defect descriptions, but the narratives are automatically accompanied with
fully illustrative images. HSR is bundled with hundreds of defect specific and
general educational illustrated images sourced from the Carson & Dunlop
Illustrated Home CD (sold separately). No other 3D Focus set offers this
today. Following proof of purchase, this library set will be delivered electronically.
Please note that you do have the option to remove the image references and
recompile the form set.
Some reporting systems may also have a similar set of
illustrations; however, they are likely grouped together in a dedicated section
of the report. This means that if a client needs to reference an illustration
related to a specific defect, they must continuously flip between sections
of the report. HSR automatically imbeds the illustration immediately adjacent
to the defect statement. Therefore, no flipping between sections. HSR is one
of only 2 systems in the industry today that provide this capability and is
the more cost effective of the two systems.
For example, if the property has a defective GFI, missing chimney cap, circuit
panel double tapping or incorrect stair dimensions, HSR automatically inserts
illustrations with the associated defect paragraph to help the reader better
understand the nature of the defect. To further impress your clients and demonstrate
your professionalism, HSR also provides optional groups of illustration for
educational or informational purposes. For example, if the property has a high-efficiency
furnace, dug well, septic system or stucco exterior covering, HSR provides
a collection of images which you can select to illustrate the mechanics of
each of these types of systems.
This type of report format is unique. The illustration
positioning combined with a detailed narrative defect description provides
instant clarification for your clients. Whether it's illustrating a defect
or providing general information about the functioning principles of a building
system, clients will find that there is a natural flow of information as they
read through the report.
